A great edition of Codecamp Cluj-Napoca ended last Saturday and we were really excited to participate as a partner, and to be part of an amazing event that attracted over 2.000 IT professionals. Our speakers, Anca VESCAN and Martino BETTUCCI, we’re happy to support the IT community and share some of their knowledge with everyone. They spoke about the top of programming languages in 2018 and “Cross-compilers and COMPS architecture for your next SPA application”.

The fifth edition of Codecamp Cluj-Napoca was all about new techniques, technologies and ways to improve our careers. Great local and international speakers held presentations on topics like JAVA, Angular, Kotlin, .NET, PHP or Agile Development. A special thank must go to all the great people that decided to get involved and to transform the event into a day filled with fresh ideas and amazing speeches, appreciated by an extraordinary community.

Programming languages in 2018

An interactive speech was held by Anca Vescan, CEO&Owner AXON-Soft and Martino Bettucci, Leader Project Manager at Maplink. They talked about the top of programming languages in 2018 and “Cross-compilers and COMPS architecture for your next SPA application”.

Anca spoke about the TIOBE Programming Community index and about, that can be used to check whether your programming skills are still up to date or to make a strategic decision about what programming language should be adopted when starting to build a new software system. We advise you to read the presentation to see if you should adapt your strategy or if you are up to date.

After her speech, Martino spoke to IT professionals with Ruby/React/Javascript knowledge about an alternative to GWT philosophy approach (source-to-source compiling) into reactive SPA web applications. Explaining the COMPS (Components, Operations, Models, Policies) versus MVC (Model View Controller) architecture code.

Their presentation was just the beginning of an interesting conversation about ways to improve our work.
We are happy to share the top of programming languages in 2018 with you! We hope you`ll enjoy it and that we`ll meet at the next Codecamp edition with intense sessions that we`ll interest our IT community.

See you in November!
