QA Automation Engineer
Overview
We are looking for QA Automation Engineers to work on financial platforms developed together with one of the largest banking institutions in Romania.
Your Profile
- Academic qualification in a technical field (IT or similar)
- Minimum 3+ years of relevant QA Automation experience
- Ability to plan and execute test scenarios automatically
- Ability to design, develop, and maintain scalable automated test frameworks
- Capacity to create test data and automated tests
- Involvement in the entire Agile process: from design to production
- Strong analytical and synthetical skills
- Awareness of software vulnerabilities and a security-oriented mindset
- Willingness to learn and team-oriented attitude
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work with attention to detail
- Strong problem-solving skills coupled with excellent communication skills
- ISTQB certification is a plus
- Experience with version control (Git) is a plus
- Experience with financial-banking projects is a plus
Technologies and tools
- Experience with Java applications testing and API testing
- Hands-on experience with REST Assured for API testing and automation
- Experience with Cucumber and behavior-driven development (BDD) frameworks
- Solid understanding of Gherkin syntax and writing clear BDD scenarios
- Experience with TestNG for test execution, configuration, and reporting
- Experience with Atlassian Jira, Confluence or other project tracking software
- Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Software Testing Life Cycle
- Experience with JUnit for unit and integration testing
- Experience with jOOQ for database interaction and SQL query generation
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integration of automated tests into delivery workflows
Your Role
- Document defects and tracking issue resolution
- Ensure the quality of each product iteration by executing regression tests, doing exploratory testing, etc.
- Ensure proper qualification, prioritization, and monitoring of reported defects until resolution
- Maintain test repository by updating tests, creating test plans, suites and organizing test cases
- Consistently revise customer needs, focus on prioritization and results
- Communication and activity reporting
