Internships’ main objective: Building a web application for a shop using a free 3-tier architecture, with good separation of concerns, ORM persistence and a compound-based user interface.
Intern: Lenghel Paul
About: 3rd Year at the Faculty of Automation and Computers Science, Computer Science Department, at the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca
His first experience as an intern got Paul the chance to work with some of the concepts and technologies he learned in school, but also to test some new ones, under the guidance of a highly specialized project coordinator.
According to Paul, the biggest challenge for him during the internship has been working with Web Services, which provide a standard means of interoperating between software applications running on a variety of platforms and frameworks. Web services are characterized by their great interoperability and extensibility, as well as their machine-processable descriptions, thanks to the use of XML.
The most important lesson learnt during the internship:
“I definitely understood what working in a team means, how to listen to everyone’s opinion and reach a common idea that could be implemented. “
Final result: A web application for an online shop.
